Garmin hat letzte Woche neue Software Updates für die aktuelle Edge Serie veröffentlicht. Zumindest im deutschsprachigen Raum folgten einige Irritationen, weil die deutsche Systemsprache verschwunden war. Im Fokus des Updates steht das Thema Training, Segmente und ClimbPro, daneben zahlreiche Verbesserungen und Stabilisierungen.

Zum aktuellen Zeitpunkt kann ich das neue Garmin Edge Software Update 6.0 nicht empfehlen, weil die deutsche Systemsprache weg ist und ich über das Gerät auch keine Möglichkeit habe den Punkt ConnectIQ aufzurufen und mich zu Strava oder Komoot (Routing) zu verbinden. Ein Bekannter hatte am Garmin Edge 1030 (Software 10.0) das gleiche Problem, nach einmaligen Verbinden zu Garmin Connect war der Fehler bereits behoben. Wie schaut es bei euch aus?

Ansonsten bietet das Update viel neues. Die Segment-Schnittstelle zu Strava wurde überarbeitet, die Genauigkeit der Prognose von ClimbPro wurde verbessert und im Workout Modus gibt es über die Status Seite die Möglichkeit das Workout Intervall zu pausieren, stoppen oder zu überspringen. Zumindest überspringen konnte man die einzelnen Workout Schritte bereits über die Laptaste. Ich konnte noch nicht ausprobieren, ob beim Überspríngen aus der Statusseite ebenfalls Runden genommen werden.
